Non-Standard Resolutions

I'm trying to run the Xati server on a Radeon Mobility 9000 M9 in a
Toshiba T40. The maximum resolution on this screen is 1400x1050. When I
try running Xati with -screen 1400x1050x16, it launches fine and works
but the resolution is 1280x1024. Xvesa runs fine at 1400x1050. Is there
any way to get the Xati server to run at 1400x1050?
