As I said to Keith on IRC earlier, I think a rename is essential to differentiate ourselves. Right now, there's no unambiguous way to refer to all our trees: the fork-of-XFree86 DDX in xserver, the x.org trees, etc. People assume 'XFree86' comes from www.xfree86.org: let's not change that perception. We need to give XFree86 due credit, but at the same time, we need to preserve the unambiguity of names such as 'XFree86'. Our DDX needs our own name.
