Try doing 'export LD_LIBRARY_PATH=$LD_LIBRARY_PATH:/opt/fdo/lib' and
then running xserver. Your output indicates that the dynlinker can't
find the libraries. If this fixes it, your /etc/ld.so.conf change is
somehow broken. If this doesn't fix it, your ldconfig/dynlinker have
gone mad =)
