I believe the issue is now addressed in the latest code in the 3.2.x branch.

If you're using Docker then the freeradius/freeradius-dev images on 
Docker Hub are built from the 3.2.x branch whenever the branch is 
updated, so if you use one of those images as your base, then that will 
have the latest code.
