Hi,
sorry for my broken english and rather long mail

I got a small but anoying problem with the current advmenu on dos

I got an athlon xp 2200+ with 256 in my cab running dos 7.0 (win98 dos part)

config.sys loads himem and umbpci (an emm386 alternative), then video and
vga from the advcab package

autoexec.bat then loads smartdrv, fastvid (for faster vga output) and last
but not least it loads advmenu

now the problem:

advmenu crashes the first time if started in autoexec.bat

if I load it a second time it works.
if I don't it in autoexec and load it manualy first time after dos has boot
up, it
works too.

on my 'older' arcade pc (intel p3 900mhz) it worked perfectly on first try,
on my athlon it doesn't

if i start advmame via autoexec, it works.

i tried with advmenu -log, but it doesn't help me much further

only difference in log on first and second run would be

os: signal 291
os: video_abort

then advmenu shuts down (okay it crashes)
