Hi, hope I can help you a little, I once had the same problem when changing
my G400 for a
new Radeon 9000. Unfortunately, I always got the same signal 291 error and
abort.
I discovered through trial and error, that the error happened only when I
had a certain number
of modelines in Advmame.rc file.; If I had more than 24 modelines, Advmame
crashed, If I had 23 or
less, it worked O.K.
I solved it by using the include command in advmame.rc to put modelines in
another file.
I hope you can fix the problem, but , at least, you can start Advmame,
because I.. just couldnt!
See you!
Quique.
