Thanks for the reply Alex. I set the monitor settings through the "Advcfg"
program.

Horizontal: 30-95Khz
Vertical: 50-160Hz
Video: 135Mhz

I didn't set it for the video card (I thought that AdvMame would already
know those settings). I will try and add them tonight and see if that makes
any difference.

Hugh

Try adding h,v,p,clock settings specific to your video card and monitor to
your advmame.rc

Subject: [advancemame-users] "No Video Modes Available" Error

Hello,

I installed and setup AdvancedMame for DOS. I ran the "Advcfg" utility to
setup the monitor configuration. When I try and run a game I get the
following error:

"No Video Modes Available"

"Unable to start video Emulation"

Does this mean that I cannot play this particular game under AdvandedMame?
If so, is it because my Monitor is the limiting factor, or my Video card?
The video card that I am using is supported under the DOS AdvancedMame
release (ie: it's on the list).

Thanks,

Hugh
