Which mouse type do you have ? USB ? Serial ? PS2 ?

For Serial/PS2 mouse you must use the `inputattach' system utility to 
attach the serial line at the event interface. Generally this utility is 
available in the joystick calibration package of your distribution. In 
this case it's probably simpler to use the `raw' mouse driver.

Try also running advm with the -log option and send to me the resulting 
log file "advm.log"
