I'm having real frustration with video support.
I am using AdvanceCD version 2.4, the latest available.
In the documentation, it lists the following under supported video:
<snip>
1.12 Intel Corp (8086)
82845G/GL/GV/GE/PE Integrated Graphics Device [2562]
OEM IBM {1014} : NetVista A30p
<snip>
I went out and bought an Intel D845GVSR motherboard, which presumably
is using the 845GV chipset.
When I boot AdvanceCD 2.4, I get the normal linux bootup, and then the
AdvanceCD banner screen (which is pretty nice, by the way).
Then, one row at a time, I get:
No video modes avilable for your current configuration.
ARGH!!!
I had the same problem before with one of those VIA EPIA boards, and I
chalked it up to being a fairly new motherboard and the onboard video not
yet being very popular.
But THIS board is supposed to be supported!
May I say argh again?
Are there some configuration changes I can make? Is there a fairly
inexpensive video card out on shelves at Best Buy or Circuit City or
Sam's Club that will get this system going? Christmas is coming
soon and I'd really like this to be ready in time.
The system is:
Intel D845GVSR motherboard
Intel Celeron 2.2 Ghz (roughly) Prescott processor
512 MB RAM
Thanks for any help.
