Does anyone know exactly what version ac97 was fixed...I was digging around trying to find changelogs for different versions and was unable to find them. Does anyone know if they are posted anywhere? I am running .92 and have no sound...but I think it is my fault for not sitting down and investing the time to get it configured correctly. Question: What Sound/Video/Controller drivers are "best" under linux. "Best" being best perfromance per clock cycle. I assume it would be: Sound=ALSA Video=FB Keyboard/Joystick/etc=Event Is this right? Event is "better" than Raw, correct? Thanks in advance, Todd ----- Original Message ----- From: Thomas F. I'm glad to hear the ac97 support has been fixed. One less card to worry about inside the cabinet. Thanks again! Thomas ----------------- If I am not mistaken the newer sound blaster live cards are 24 bit cards and the older ones are 16 bit cards. They probably should have changed the name because they aren't the same card. I have been able to get the older ones to work in dos advmame but not the newer ones. Although I haven't tested it, around version .92 they fixed the ac97 support in dos advmame. Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo!
