Re: linux riva fb driver under kernel 2.6.11.6

You're doing everything correctly, so far as I can tell.  I suspect the 
driver is misbehaving.  2.6.8.1 was the only kernel I had any luck with, but 
I had to march through several cards to find one that worked.  2.6.11 worked 
on a couple of cards as well, but not reliably. 

While it seems like things are getting very close, it may take a little bit 
longer.  I know there were a large number of fb patches submited for the 
upcoming release, so who knows.  Even if it doesn't work though, take 
comfort in knowing that there is definitely active development on the 
problem, so it should only be a matter of time.
