In sort, I wouldn't worry about it. Unless you absolutely need the higher
res modes which interlacing will give you, then avoid it. The video quality
in an interlaced image is usually far to low for enjoyable gaming.

On the other hand, there will most likely not be any speed increase with the
geforce 4, as the 3D hardware is ignored. You might as well stay with the
ATI rage pro if it's working well. Both cards suffer from a rather high
low-p-clock limit (about 8 or 9 as apposed to the default 5) so there is no
great benefit of one over the other.

  I have had some good progress with my machine and am able to run advmenu
and games on my ATI rage pro.
  
 My question is: Is it worth my while to try and set up my geforce 4 mx440
or does the fact that it lacks interlacing mean its not worth my while?

  Do I miss out on any games due to lack of interlacing?
