AdvanceCD - kernel upgrade (Radeon X300)

Hi,
 I am a very happy user of the AdvanceCD and I had no problem download the
tools to generate my own mame bootable CD and it works fine for me.

But it didn't work for several of my friends and I can see that the
reason is the lack of
drivers for Radeon X300 graphic cards.

I have tested on the following two Dell D610 and IBM ThinkPad T43.

Is there a guide somewhere I have missed how I can update the kernel to
support these graphic cards ?
