To be fair, I don't think anyone here has heard from Andrea unless someone on the list can say otherwise. It seems like he just fell off the face of the earth for the time being. I'm sure we all would like to hear if all is well with Andrea before asking if he is taking some time off to recharge before (if) comming back to the project.

All the core changes Aaron's made (or making) have got to be affecting his turnaround time for the short term at least. I'm not that familiar with the code but the changes to video system's effects seem like they could really wreak havoc with the way AdvanceMAME works (or maybe it's simpler, correct me if I'm wrong).

Still, if it is the end, then I'll put my thanks out there as well. No MAME has ever looked as good consistently on my cabs as AdvanceMAME.

I guess it's time to finally update to just upgrade to an ArcadeVGA card.

Thanks for all the incredible work you've put into the advance projects over
the years, Andrea. I've used them for years from my old dos/advancecab
tools/dmame, zsnes, fceu based cab up to my current
linux/advancemenu/advancemame machine. This truly seems like the end of an
era.

To think it's really been about 6 years....

I too will be very sad to see this project go, but am very grateful to
Andrea for all the time he put into it. I'm probably going to keep my
arcade cabinet at .106 forever now.
