  Do you mean by "Series 60" Symbian or j2me?

  According to stat from tx1 channel (www.tx1.com) they said "the 7210
accounted for 46% of all games downloaded from Telecom One in the post
Christmas period." But ofcoarse this is only for j2me games.

  Maybe Series 60 is better cause it offer multiplayer games through
bluetooth.

Actually,

if i was to start with mobile NOW, i would choose Series 60. Main reason is,
you get easily connected with Nokia as they are desperately looking for CPs
AND the platform is less crowded. There are fewer devices, that is true -
but just ask my dear collegues how profitable the J2ME platform currently
is. I suppose a S60 owner is more likely to pay for content.

But that is my personal opinion,

The reason I joined this group was to find out more about mobile
game dev.
I'd like to start developing games for mobile phones but I'm
confused as to which platform to develop for ?
J2ME, Mophun, C/C++, Symbian, Series 60, Midlets, MIDP, CLDC ....
???

Where do I start and what platform should I target ?

My feeling is to go for J2ME

?
