lyntin 4.1 and encodings on win32

Wow--kind of weird to be on this side of the equation, but here goes!

I downloaded the win32 version of Lyntin 4.1 from the website and
installed it.  When I try to launch Lyntin using runlyntin.py (I renamed
the pyw file to py so I get a window that gives me a stack trace), I get:

I don't know about encodings and such and don't recall adding any
encoding/decoding to the tkui so I'm not sure how to go about fixing it.

Any thoughts?
