One of the all-time outstanding issues with the tkui is that if you're on a mud that's setting the background color (even to black), you can't see the text you're highlighting with the mouse. This kind of sucks. Anyhow, I made a modification to ignore the black background color (and only the black background color) when writing to the textbuffer widget.
