Hello, everyone. I've run into a problem with Lyntin's password obfuscation not switching back to normal: I have Lyntin 4.1.1, Python 2.4.1 on Windows XP SP 2. What I Did: I connected to the Medievia MUD, began to create a character, entered a password for the character as prompted (at which point the entry box was displaying text as asterisks), re-typed the password as prompted (it was still displaying the text as asterisks, as it should), and was prompted to select a character class. The Problem: The problem was that the text in the entry box was still displaying as asterisks. I typed in the character selection, anyway, and proceeded to start playing the tutorial. The problem never cleared up. This sort of thing has also happened with other MUDs. Sometimes the problem goes away as I play, but sometimes it doesn't. If possible, I'd like to know if there's a way to turn off password obfuscation entirely. I'm not worried about something stealing a MUD password, so this would be an acceptable solution for the present for me. -- J.
