In the output, it says it's switching sessions before reading in the file. 
I bet that's the issue--that alias is being created in the "med" session 
and not in the common session.

I think a quick fix would be to switch the order of the session creation 
and the alias creation.  So then "groko" would be like this:

#alias {mon} {clanwhere}
#session med medievia.com 4002
%<------------------------------
