Is anyone still using this? I'm considering doing some hacking on Lyntin. I've been learning Twisted lately, and I think it'd be neat to see if I can translate Lyntin into a single-threaded non-blocking-I/O-based program built on top of that framework. The only practical upshot would be getting to then use all the other tools Twisted provides, and I still don't yet know what I will do with that capability. The insults module for doing fancy TTY stuff might be a good place to start. Ideally I'd like to maintain as much compatibility as possible with existing modules, but I haven't looked too much at the internals yet, so I'm not sure how practical this is. I may or may not ever finish this, but in case anyone cares, I'll be keeping my WIP available via a public git repository at git://git.ethermage.net/lyntin-wm -- I'm also going go go along with the previous authors' inclinations and assign copyright for anything I do to the FSF. Right now, that repository only contains a cvsimport from the lyntin40 module here on SourceForge, and there're no hooks and no mailing list for updates. It may be a week or two before I get around to publishing anything, depending on how much free time I find myself with. If things pick up enough for it to matter and anyone besides me cares, I'll set up a web interface to the repo and some way for people to get notified of updates.
