I'm still using Lyntin, and am (slowly, I am afraid I am only a neophyte
programmer with limited time) trying to develop a graphical mapper feature
for the tkui, which works from the default download.

As to the plugin repository, it is broken. In response to my queries will [
[email protected]], the former maintainer sent me to:

http://bluesock.org/~willg/dev/lyntin/<http://bluesock.org/%7Ewillg/dev/lyntin/>

This contained a few more plugins and descriptions which I found very handy
to thumb through.

I can't speak to a wxPython UI, however.

Good Luck, and you're not alone.
