I have a Zire 71 and had to attempt registration a number of times before it would finally accept the number.  You may want to reinstall your version of Spaceward Ho!  For whatever reason that seemed to work for me.

I have a Zire 71, and the registration code worked fine for me. I 
think I registered it within half a day of downloading it from 
PalmGear.com. LOL
