I see quite a few different PalmOS devices pass over my desk, and I end up
trying Ho! on practically all of them.
Right now I've been trying it on a Tapwave Zodiac, which is a pretty cool
device. My main reflection today is that the reliance on the datebook and
address book buttons for zooming in and out isn't great for device
independence. The Zodiac doesn't have those buttons, and on the Sony I use a
lot (Clie NX-70V) they're hidden under the cover by default.
I brought this up in pre-1.0 testing, and zoom controls got added to a menu,
along with graphiti shortcuts, but that's just not that convenient (what's the
graphiti for "+", anyways?). I really think the map screen could use a pair of
buttons for zooming. Even better might be using the up and down buttons for it.
I don't find the current up/down button task to be that useful (on that
screen).
Alternatively, using up/down/left/right (an increasing number of devices have
5-way controls, and the Zodiac has it's analog control) to pan the map around
would be way, way cool.
Of course, on both of these devices I want to use the whole screen, but that
goes without saying.

ps - no crashes in a couple of weeks of testing on the Zodiac.
