Games in small, dense galaxies with many enemies are the ones that yield the
most MPs. In such a game, metal conservation becomes extremely important.
I've played several games in the smallest, densest galaxies with 7 IQ 170+
enemies and thought I'd won, only to take my battle force, with dreadnaughts
and like 30 fighters, into one of the last planets only to have them shot
out of the sky before getting off a shot themselves. With 7 players, you
never know how advanced that last guy might be, and you might have never
seen him before.until he graciously relieves you of all your metal in the
form of the "invincible" fleet you just provided him. I guess the assertion
is you can play and win interesting and challenging games without spending
too much time at the end "cleaning up" pitiful players. I've come to think
of it as the victory lap, since I always play ring galaxies, as they yield
the most points and are actually pretty easy.

I'd love an unlock code or other capability to be able to get to some of
these special features such as different shaped galaxies and best-buddy
enemies. Once it's obvious that the tide has turned and I'm winning a game
I often don't finish it so I'm never going to get to some of those superhigh
levels on my own. Hope this isn't heresy!
