The fun I've had with Ho! on the Palm has made me go back to playing Ho! 5 on
the mac again, and I've got a few reflections about it:

- It's very cool that the game engine is the same. Strategies that you learn on
one platform work exactly the same the other. Right down to the details, it
seems. The difference in galaxy scales (Palm version, understandably, doesn't
allow as large galaxies) means one has to learn to be much wiser with metal,
and this has paid off in my mac games.

- The Palm interface is frustrating after playing a while on the desktop. No
surprise there, but perhaps little bits can be worked on here and there. You've
done a good job of shoe-horning so much info into a few screens, but this means
constantly switching between them. i wonder what else could help. Perhaps
changing the history to show more events at once. They don't need all that
space, and if you squished each up to a third or quarter of the size they are
now you'd be able to see more of what's going on at a glance.

- the screen size is of course the big deal. I think you're making the correct
decision to hold off on working on it, because you should probably try and work
out a more dynamic approach when the time comes. It would be very cool to be
able to scale the whole thing without steps, and have it cover any screen size.

Anyhow, as i've said before, it's great to have this game on the Palm. Thanks.
