r17-3227-gb3275d4a1f199 seems to be the only modula2 commit in the window.

2 problems:

1) On Darwin platform versions that have a default install of python 2, but
have python3 available, the configure script complains about python3 not being
the default and then says no python found and exits.

2) On systems with python3 as a default - build completes, but install fails -
it seems that the install starts a rebuild but with a libstdc++ mismatch (it
looks like it repeats stage#1 and then fails to link a binary with missing
libstdc++ symbol).
