Has IA-64 target architecture been dropped?

While reading :

     https://gcc.gnu.org/onlinedocs/gcc-16.1.0/gcc/Floating-Types.html

there we see IA-64 mentioned. I know the Linux kernel gave up on the old 
ill fated Itanium and I ponder that GCC has kicked it to the curb also?
