Hello Hans, We (GCC developers) have no visibility of the internal workings of = macports - you would need to take up the maintenance of that port with = the organisers there. What I do is to publish =E2=80=9Cgeneric=E2=80=9D darwin/macOS branches = (usually with some additions) - which have then been taken by macports = and homebrew and adjusted for their respective packaging environments. > GCC on MacPorts seems to not be maintained anymore; I reported there = that GCC 16 has been released (link below), and there were no takers. So = I post here in case someone knows how to move further. As macOS is supported on a voluntary basis, it takes me a little time = usually from the initial release until the Darwin/macOS one is ready. = Currently I am releasing macOS from a development branch - which = includes support for Arm64 (aarch64) which is not yet upstreamed. ---- I will shortly be publishing GCC-16.1-darwin (with experimental support = for Arm64 /aarch64) .. and will add your email to the list of folks to = be notified. thanks for your interest - but you need to direct the offer to the = macports folks.
