google tells me it has a terminal package manager "synopkg" but that they do not package gcc so they suggest to first install entware (https://github.com/Entware/entware) on the NAS and then install gcc from that repo with "opkg install gcc make"

Dsm 7.4. Its the Linux Synology engineered for their line of NAS's. DSM has a package manager i think but i have zero understanding of it. Its like an app you can click and open in the web browser and it has a gui which functions just like a appstore

Hello, I'm quite new to the Linux/CLI/coding and whatnot and so I'm at a loss.  I need the gcc to install source code for docker, as my OS of linux is irregular in that it doesnt have apt or pacman for package managing. But to install gcc I need a C compiler and so I'm stuck. Gcc is compiler, gcc needs compiler to be installed. Even if you cant give an immediate answer, any advice would be appreciated, thank you.
