Or (better) put a jar file containing org/eclipse/jdt/internal/compiler/batch/GCCMain.class

with

ecjx_LDFLAGS = $(ECJX_BASE_FLAGS) -Djava.class.path=$(ECJ_JAR):/path/to/my/jarfile
