This looks fine to me. Technically I can only approve the documentation changes, help strings, comments, and error message wording -- but I think we already have consensus on changing the user interface in this way and the remaining changes are "obvious" with that in mind. Maybe wait another day before pushing in case anybody else with more powerful maintainer-fu wants to review it too. -Sandra
