gdb fails on OS X

Hi gdbers,
I am having great difficulties using gdb under OSX Mojave in latest Eclipse
CDT. One of those terrible cases where you need to hit F5 random number of
times, but at least 4 of 5, to be able to get the debugging session
running, to hit a breakpoint. And for each F5 you get a hanging gdb
process, while the UI stays stuck at "97%" saying "Configuring GDB...".

I've spent a lot of time trying to fix this.

Does anyone have any comments?
