The .gpkg of 10MB raises visibility of another issue. There are to many instances where .gpkg files may need to be split/segmented. It used to be that backups had to be segmented for writing to removable media. (Floppies, CD-Rs, data tapes, etc.) And low limits still exist in quite few places. The MantisBT bug reporter only accepts files up to 8,000 KBs. And many eMail gateways have a 10MB limit. Particularly that christening file. It seems likely that at least 1 will exceed the 2gb threshold. Weird things have been known to happen in Windows NTFS with oversized files. The GPKG was 10 MB, and made it through Gmail. It was so large, because there's still a dozen pictures attached to this person. The offending file is a scan downloaded from Find My Past, with a size of 1.02 MB. Nothing fancy, displays well in the Windows Photo Viewer, but makes Gramps crash to the desktop right when I select the line in the media view. And my free version of Visual Studio can't intercept it. It's not the only JPEG in David's archive, but it probably is the only trouble maker. And I bet that when I upload it to Mantis (got permission), and anyone else tries to re-attach it to the tree in the .gramps backup, the same problem will show. One big CTD.
