Hi Lorrie

You do not have to be knowledgeable about the database model, the back end
nuts and bolts.

I had another little think on your issue and it is even easier than I
thought.

The To Do gramplet aggregates all notes with the To Do type into the tool.
Its selection criteria is the note type "To Do" so you do not have to
search for the notes you want deleted. Just edit them in the gramplet and
change their type to anything else like "General". The To Do gramplet will
no longer find them.

The notes now become visible to the  Remove Unused Objects tool I mentioned
earlier.

As to the components of the database and direct access to something like
Notes, this is done navigating the Icons down the left side, Each of the
parts of the database has their own view and within these views are the
Delete and Merge options. Things you cannot do in a view like
Relationships. To manually delete a note, the note needs to be selected in
the Note view and then the delete options will become active. You cannot
delete from the list until the record is first selected. FYI, you can
select several items at once to delete.
