Besides the obvious one, transcribing it, as text... Add the PDF document into Gramps as a media object. Then in the note, use the Link editor to create a link within the note back to the media record. https://gramps-project.org/wiki/index.php?title=Gramps_5.1_Wiki_Manual_-_Entering_and_editing_data%3A_detailed_-_part_2#Link_Editor The Link editor allows internal links within Gramps to other objects, essentially creating hyperlinks within Gramps. So in an Obituary that you transcribe as a note, you could link to people or places mentioned. Or to external Internet links. Its true power is realized when a web report is created. Also, after adding the PDF as mendia object, that record can be added to any Gallery tab within Gramps.
