Gramps 5.1.4 with Import and Merge tool
When using the Import and Merge tool on an entry marked 'Different', there are options to 'Merge Original' or 'Merge Imported'. Based on my understanding choosing either one should result in the same merged data for the person after the import, with the difference being which entry (original or imported) is used as a the base for comparison. What other differences might be expected? Would the difference in the two methods be about internal IDs and such? When would it make sense to use one vs the other?
Online help is very good, although the description for 'Merge Original' or 'Merge Imported' is identical which doesn't clarify the difference and the use case to use one over the other; see: https://gramps-project.org/wiki/index.php/Import_Merge_Tool#Control_buttons
Thanks
