Arnold,

Since this a standalone utility, I am wondering if you use Gramps or a different genealogy tool?

It is interesting that wxETI organizes Exif, XMP & IPTC metadata. The Edit Image Exif Metadata (add-on) & Image Metadata (built-in) Gramplets for Gramps appear to list those tag types but don't differentiate them.

It is simply a GUI front-end for the Exiftool library and currently only
runs under Windows. As well, it is intended to support multiple languages,
though that part is currently very much in its 'infancy' because my
experience in that area is very recent and limited.
It was inspired by the no-longer-supported ExiftoolGUI app, though there
are a number of differences.
The project was motivated by my need to add metadata directly to the image
files for my genealogical work, rather than to rely on file naming and
directory tree structure alone.

You can find it at: http://www.wxutils.com/wxeti.php
The installation notes and the help file will give you a better idea of the
prerequisites (Exiftool needs to be installed separately) and the current
capabilities.

Direct feedback can be sent to [email protected] or to this forum, if
that is acceptable to the moderators
