Of course, many people can have the same database.  It is simply a process of backup/copy etc...
Remember tho, only the databse YOU are working on will have your updates.

I have several people working on databases I also use. They understand that there is a sychronizing problem.

The Gramps databases would have to be in a location accessible to all people, and they'd all need permissions (which might need to be set manually).  The GRAMPSHOME environment variable would then have to point to that location.

The same database?  No.

Not easily.  Gramps is single-user, and merging different databases is tricky.
