As Brad indicated, you can add a custom entry to all drop-down lists by just typing it in. There is the Type Cleanup tool to manage these custom entries. https://gramps-project.org/wiki/index.php/Addon:Types_Cleanup_Tool Just remember, any custom entry will not translate if that is important to you.
