Hi Serge and Dave and all,
Our website was based on "4" and looks the way I wanted. When "5" came out I did as always and changed the css/py sheets for my altered ones but they do not work.I have since had a brake from the tree and am just getting back into it.
Last night I was looking at the altered sheets and found where I had changed the top tab "Contact" to "Thank You". I then found the same code on the new sheet and altered it but it did not work. So the new css/py sheetshave major changes more than a little bit, as you say ?I did modify the new narrativeweb.py file but it just did nothing (Error)
I have loaded 5.1.5

But no changes to the changes I would like to make.
As there can be dozens of event notes on an individual's page, I at times get confused. A line under each event makes it so much easier plus removing "Event Note" from each. The "Relation to centre person" would at least on Peach be a lot easy to read in black. The thumbnails at the bottom look mess being all out of line.

It would be nice to have " 2nd click to make full size" at the text at the top of the full thumbnail page as I have had a number of people say a photo has been too small, when it was because they did not realize you could click again.

Contact Tab / page not central, to left side ? If I remember right it has always been in the middle ?

NoteRootwebs have frozen all their Free websites so I cannot alter the excising one.I do send out a few disks with narrative web on as it is a lot better than sending 200 text or more pages, and it can still be copy and pasted.
When I started with Gramps people said it could be used in a lot of different ways.
May be this is just my way.

Stay safeLes

 Hi Les
There have been major changes in the 4.2 to 5.1 Gramps code so you cannot take a 4.2 narrativeweb.py code file and expect it to work in 5.1.2.
First order of business is to create the new narrative web using the new code to actually see what is being produced. The web_basic-peach.css still exists in the 5.1.2 Gramps. If you made changes to the 4.2 version of web_basic-peach.css, it MAY work with 5.1.2 but no guarantees. So before you totally overwrite the new web_basic-peach.css with your older version, please take steps to protect the new so you can return to it if needed.
Not sure how much someone more knowledgeable of the code would be to make additional modifications for the 5.1 version of the narrative web. Major work is currently underway to all the code for Gramps 5.2. I know the narrative web will see some major changes.

GrampsNarrated Web Site

Some years ago, the groupkindly helped me change the code to :-
web_basic-peach.css andNarrativeweb.py and have used them for some years (I know nothingabout coding and am too old to learn now LOL)
But now with 5.1.2 using myold Narrativeweb.py stops a website being made (Error).
web_basic-peach.cssworks some of the items but alters others. ie
Itwill line up the thumbnails on individual pages, but changes the fullthumbnail media page to just one photo on top of each other down leftside.Would be most grateful for anyhelp in pointing me it the right direction to make the changesbelow. I do not mind altering the code if I know now and where.
ubuntumate 20.04Gramps4.2.6 am usingGramps5.1.2 testing

Contact (tab) Writingnot Centred, it is to the far left edge. Also like tab to read “ThankYou”
