Hi,

Just getting back into doing my own genealogy so I thought I'd jump in 
here.  Bring up gramps.  Under Edit -> Preferences, look at the General 
tab.  There is an item called Max generations for relationships.  Mine 
is set to the default 15.  It can be increased.  I wonder if raising 
that would fix your issue?  I'm on 5.1.5 under Fedora.
