People in Gramps can have more than one name. Go to the Names tab in the Person edit window. You can add more names here. In the name editor, you will also find more advanced features like altering the name's display or sort order different from the default set in preferences. Grouping similar surnames can also be done here; "Clark (Clarke)". Each name can have its own Type.
