It sounds like the corruption occurred while writing .ini files rather than when writing to the database. (Which makes the problem likely to have originated in the GUI routines.) It's possible but unlikely that you have some data loss. But to be safe about having a solid tree structure, you could decide to make RIGHT NOW as a 'restore point'. Make a backup, make a new Tree, and import to populate the Tree. (Don't export, it can trim bits that you might want to keep.) Ideally, you'd restore to a different computer or a PortableGramps instance... it's a good opportunity to make sure your Media objects are properly archived & restorable. If you have an old backup from just before the problem, you could do some Tree compares. That would discover any gaps. You could even try migrating to Gramps 5.1.5 -Brian On Fri, May 27, 2022 at 7:32, [email protected]<[email protected]> wrote: Le 27/05/2022 à 11:16, Brad Rogers a écrit : > On Fri, 27 May 2022 03:02:32 +0200 > "[email protected]" <[email protected]> wrote: > > Hello [email protected], > >> This view shows only one column now : the last modification date. >> When I try to change the display to get the mother, the father and the >> date of the wedding columns back, it doesn’t work > This sounds like the column widths have, somehow, got set to zero width. > Try dragging things left and/or right in the headings area. > Thanks Brad for your reply. Before posting my initial message, I tried to do what you suggest to no avail. Restoring a specific .ini file was the right remedy offered by George. However, I had to rebuild with the appropriate tool the references tables afterwards. Although all seem to work as usual by now, I fear some glitches still lurking in the database awaiting to popup at some time.
