Yes. That's why I recommend RootsMagic instead. It runs on MacOS and Windows, and exports much better GEDCOM files than the Ancestry site, meaning that it doesn't export weird tags, unless you let it export RM specific data, like citation templates, or note formatting. It also makes sure that dates are GEDCOM compliant. The long month names exported by Ancestry can be quite a nuisance, and RM corrects all, and also downloads all your linked media for you. And since it also runs quite well in Wine, it's almost as versatile as Gramps.
