The unit of rural (countryside) geographical location within a county in Ireland is the Townland. Townlands can be anything from a few square meters to a couple of square miles in size, and they all have names (not unique; alas not even within a county). Locality seems to be appropriate, but it would be more useful if there was actually a category of Place called Townland. Can categories be added without breaking the namespace?
