Re: Townlands

With the exception of Number and Street and the types that would be a
populated place; City, etc, Gramps does not really care what the types are.
The hierarchy is what is important. The place database and that structure
is really there for the user. You send out a report to a cousin, all they
see is the place name built from the hierarchy.

So unlike my previous answer where I minimize the use of custom types for
events, I can see a custom place type "Townland" would be helpful to you.
