Odd mouse wheel behaviour

Hello, I've been using GRAMPS for several years and have a very odd problem which I have been living with for a while but it is becoming frustrating. When I'm using GRAMPS I often find that the mouse scroll wheel stops responding. This is most noticeable on list screens, such as PEOPLE, EVENTS or PLACES. If I Alt-tab to another application, click once in it and then Alt-tab back to GRAMPS, the functionality of the scroll wheel reappears. But not for long, and I can't detect what causes this. GRAMPS: AIO64-5.1.4-1 Python: 3.6.4 (default, Jan 23 2018, 13:17:37) ... BSDDB: 6.1.0 (6, 0, 30) sqlite: 3.21.0 (2.6.0) LANG: en_GB.UTF-8 OS: Windows 10 What I'm looking for I think, is some way of refreshing the GRAMPS installation._*I don't have this problem in any other application.*_ One very tedious idea I've had is to export my various tree databases, uninstall GRAMPS, reinstall it and reimport the databases, but this would have to be a last ditch attempt at resolving the problem as it would be a tedious and time-consuming option.
