Maybe they do, maybe they don't;  I didn't check.

However, since joining wikitree has no financial cost (AFAICT) to the
user, they *must* be financed in other ways.  One such method would be
data mining.

As for the shutting down of RW lists - I feel your pain.  I never
moderated any of them, but their being consigned to the bit bucket was a
great loss indeed.  Clearly the action of a corporation that has nothing
in mind but profit.
