Query about web software implementation

Hello.

With being a victim of the institutional bullying at wikitree, thence 
losing my account without notice or reason, and, access to my data 
there, I have been investigating a means of rebuilding and publishing my 
family history information in an online medium, so, I have been 
investigating web based genealogy software, to share with family members.

With what I have read, so far, it comes down to two possible (and most 
appropriate) options; GRAMPS, and webtrees.

With what I have seen, so far, regarding these two applications, 
webtrees can (I believe) be installed on shared hosting that includes 
PHP and MySQL, of sufficiently latest versions 
(https://webtrees.net/install/).

But, GRAMPS apparently, cannot be installed and operated on shared 
hosting in the same way.

Please can this be clarified?

I have Linux shared hosting at my web hosting provider, which has PHP 
and MySQL.
