We created the Discourse forum to give users a choice. If some people prefer to continue using this mailing list then I don't see a problem with that. There are 1526 users on the forum, but we still have 596 subscribers on this list. Our IRC channel only has 18 users, but we aren't thinking of closing it. It isn't really just about numbers.
